Wow, am I ever impressed to call you sister! You set the stage, lay the groundwork, and rock my socks.

Author, Barbara Stanny says there are four types  of supporters you need when building a community:  True Believers, Confidants, Way Showers, and Messengers. You, my dear, are certainly a Way Shower for an entire generation of women.

And you best believe, next time I make a guest appearance, I’m hiring Gladiators!

I see you, and I’m holding you affectionately as you navigate the dark seas of life. Regardless of present circumstances, you are not lost. I have not forgotten you. Although the light may seem dim at times, it still shines from my heart to yours.

Just remember, it’s okay to float from time to time. You don’t have to fight the current. Nor push so hard. You could just choose to surrender in this moment.

Wine, Roses, and Thorns

Yes, I know, it may look like everyday along this journey is full of wine and roses. Some days, I’m actually graced with both wine and roses. Thank you, “K and E!”

However, there are other days when I feels as if I’m drowning (see pic above). Like I’ve made a HUGE mistake and should just stop. Stop fooling myself. Wondering if I can actually have this kind of life. A life of fun and frivolity. A life of ease and grace. Is it possible? 
It’s easy to take the glossy pictures other people display and paint an imaginary picture of how joyful, rich, and beautiful their life must be. I know, I’ve done it. I’ve compared myself to the Joneses and always felt like I came up short. Wondering if ever I was going to get it together.
When you peer in on my life, however, I don’t want you to be fooled. I don’t want you to think for some reason you’re doing it wrong. Delude yourself into thinking if only I could be more like Kerrie then my life would be great!
The truth is, the Joneses and I both have our days. Days when we just wanna pull the plug and say, “Enough.” The kooky thing is — that’s what keeps us connected in this messy array called life. We all struggle, we all cry, and we all keep it pushin’!
We are actually more alike than we are different. I didn’t want you to forget.
